Google’s Bard, also known as Gemini Pro, has achieved the second position on the HuggingFace Chat Bot Arena Leaderboard. This milestone is significant as it has surpassed OpenAI’s GPT-4 in performance.
It’s interesting to highlight that Gemini Pro is Google’s second-best model, indicating the potential for even greater capabilities with Gemini Ultra, which hasn’t been unveiled yet.
It’s been some time since GPT-4 hit the shelves, and there’s buzz suggesting that OpenAI could be prepping for the big release of GPT-5.
In the meantime, OpenAI rolled out an improved version of GPT-4 called GPT-4 Turbo preview model, labeled as gpt-4-0125-preview.
This updated model, gpt-4-0125-preview, excels at tasks like code generation with more precision compared to its predecessor. One of its primary aims is to tackle instances of “laziness” where the model fails to complete a given task adequately.
OpenAI needs to introduce a new model soon to maintain its position as a leader in the field. There’s talk circulating that Meta might unveil Llama 3 soon, which is believed to have the capability to outperform GPT-4.
