Citigroup and Goldman Sachs have restricted employees from using ChatGPT, the famous chatbot that’s fueled investor interest in artificial intelligence.
Citigroup has disabled access to the chatbot, following automatic restrictions imposed on third-party software.
Bloomberg reported Friday, citing an individual familiar with the matter. According to Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs traders were also restricted from using this chatbot.
Representatives from Citi and Goldman Sachs declined to comment on this news.
Just a day ago, JPMorgan also restricted ChatGPT’s use among traders due to concerns over regulatory action stemming partly from sharing sensitive financial information with the chatbot.
ChatGPT is an internet sensation because it has a human-like ability to do a wide range of tasks, including writing stock stories and sending layoff emails.
