The gaming community on YouTube reacted against the company last week after discovering that their old videos were abruptly removed from monetization.

The reason is a new policy the company announced back in November to make certain types of content more ad-friendly.

The change, which was implemented to YouTube's advertiser-friendly Content guidelines, changed the way that YouTube handles violence and profanity.

The good news is that although we're not quite sure what YouTube will do at this point, YouTube is listening to the needs of creators.

“In recent weeks we’ve heard from many creators regarding this update,” YouTube spokesperson Michael Aciman told TechCrunch.

“That feedback is important to us and we are in the process of making some adjustments to this policy to address their concerns.
