JavaScript Is No Longer The Best Programming Language For Developers

New research has revealed that JavaScript is no longer the most popular programming language in the world.

CircleCI's 2022 State of Software Delivery Report found that TypeScript now holds the number one spot, overtaking JavaScript.

According to the company, the reason for the behaviour change is likely to be its developer-friendly features.

For example, Typecript allows developers to detect smaller errors locally and to submit working code more often than JavaScript.

In the report, Analyses of other areas of programmers' workflow revealed four key benchmarks.

These include workflow times ranging between 5 and 10 minutes, recovery from failed runs fixed/reverted within an hour,

A minimum 90% success rate for their default branch, and regular deployments as per the business needs, at a minimum of one day.
