Oppo launched a basic 4G smartphone last month for the Thai market. Now, that same phone will be available in India. It's called the Oppo A574G and is a cheaper version of the 5G-enabled A57.

RootMyGalaxy sources say that the Indian launch will be announced in the coming days. Online sales are expected to start on Tuesday, June 21, according to RootMyGalaxy.

It will be available online through Oppo.com, select retailers and other outlets. However, this device is expected to focus on brick-and-mortar sales.

The price is expected to be INR 13,500. This is slightly more than Thailand's price, but that could be due to taxes. Pre-order discounts were offered in Thailand for early buyers.

What is the Oppo A574G like? It uses the smaller Helio G35, which replaces the Density 810. Memory is also reduced by 3GB RAM and 64GB storage (eMMC 5.1).

The HD+ 6.56-inch display has lost the 90Hz refresh rate. Both phones have the same camera setup: 13MP main plus 2MP depth at the back and 8MP at the front.

Believe it or not, there are also some improvements. The IP54 rating of the 4G model is for dust and water resistance (splashes). Also, the 5,000mAh battery receives 33W fast charging (0-50% within 30 minutes).

Oppo A55, a similar phone to the G35 Helio G35, is also available in India. However, this phone has a 50MP main cam. You can find it for as low as INR 15,500 at Oppo.com or through retail outlets.
