Sony recently released a new, more expensive price for PlayStation 5 for Europe, the UK, Europe, the UK, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Canada.

The price increase affects each version of the console, the Digital Edition and the PS5 equipped with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive.

Sony mentions the challenging global economic situation, rising inflation, and currency issues as the motives for the price hike.

Sony claims that its primary goal is to improve the PS5 inventory situation.

This has left the most sought-after gaming console difficult for buyers who are eager to purchase.

Likely, sales won't be negatively affected due to the price increase. Sony has had a great run through the PlayStation 5, outselling Microsoft's Xbox.
