Sony Is Coming With New Xperia Pro Smartphone

On Monday, Sony will host a gaming event where we may or might not be able to see a new smartphone.

This time, the second generation of the photography-focused Xperia Pro-I smartphone will be revealed.

According to reports, Sony will launch the phone using three cameras with improved sensors.

All of the new sensors have 48MP resolution. One of the cameras will also have a variable aperture, ranging from f/1.2 to f/4.0.

They will shoot natively at 12MP resolution, with the trio of cameras being 48MP.

The source says the main camera will feature a 1" IMX903 sensor, while the ultrawide cam will be equipped with the 1/1.3" IMX803 imaging device.

The telephoto sensor, which will be a modified version of the 1/1.7" IMX557 that we saw previously in the Xperia 1 II or Xperia 5 IV, will come with the 1/1.3" IMX803 imager.

When the Xperia Pro-I Mark II is officially launched, we expect a new ISP to arrive.

The timeline suggested by the report is plausible as last year's ProI arrived in October.
