The company, which has its headquarters in Los Angeles, was to launch three satellites for radio-frequency analysis customer HawkEye 360.

They will orbit from Virginia Space's Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport.

This would have been the first Rocket Lab vehicle to take off from U.S. soil.

However, the company announced yesterday that today's launch window was closed due to strong winds at the upper levels.
