Qualcomm To Launch 2 Versions Of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

The announcement of Qualcomm's next flagship, SoC, is almost upon us, so it's only normal for rumors to continue to surface more often.

Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster on Weibo, suggests that Qualcomm may launch two versions of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

While the standard version will continue to run as normal, there will be a high-frequency iteration that will push the clock speeds even higher.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Prime core currently runs at 3.19 GHz. The high-frequency option will run at least 3.4-3.5 GHz.

According to rumors, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will use TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process.

It will power the iQOO 11 and a few other flagships.

The tipster also suggested that MediaTek's Dimensity series would offer another impressive performance jump in the CPU department, potentially closing the gap between Dimensity & Snapdragon.
