Osom, a privacy-focused tech company, was expected to launch OV1 smartphones from the same team that created the Essential PH-1.

The OV1 will be a new, blockchain-focused smartphone from Solana Mobile called "Saga". It will still be manufactured in Osom.

The Solana Saga, which will integrate with Solana's Blockchain and be able to make transactions in web3, will allow for the holding of digital assets such as tokens and NFTs.

The Solana Mobile Stack was also presented at a New York event. This framework allows developers to create rich mobile experiences on Solana.

An announcement page revealed details, including a 6.67-inch OLED screen, 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The Saga will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

A 4,100mAh battery also powers it. The Saga also supports Bluetooth 5.0 and wireless charging.

There are two main cameras in the camera department: a 16MP selfie cam and a dual main camera. The primary camera is a 50MP IMX766 f/1.8 and the secondary 12MP IMX373 f/2.2 120-degree ultrawide camera.

For a $100 refundable deposit, potential buyers can order a Solana Saga from today. The Saga will be available for purchase at $1000.

Pre-orders can receive a Saga Pass, including an NFT, "the first ticket to influence the direction of the SMS platform", and a Saga Pass. The device will be available in the US, Canada and EU in 2023.
