A Manchester United Football Club official NFT collection has been accused of copying work of a popular NFT artist known for his animated monsters.

One Twitter user criticized Manchester United's "The Devils" collection for its similarities to the work of DesLucrece.

DesLucrece is the pseudonymous NFT artist best known for the Des Monsters Collection,

Which currently has a floor of 17.5ETH (or $20,825) on OpenSea.

Comparing the characters side-by-side, you can see that they have almost identical color schemes, eyes, and horns.

The user wrote, "We need answers." This is complete garbage. Both collections were created on the Tezos Blockchain.

Manchester United partnered first with the Tezos Foundation early this year.

"The Devils," a collection of 7,777 NFTs, was released on Dec. 21.

Since then, the 7,777 NFTs (each one priced at $36) have all been sold.

DesLucrece stated on Twitter that he was in talks with Breitman about a solution and is awaiting comments from Manchester United.

He wrote, "I believe the resolution here should benefit everyone involved," noting that he wanted art and artists to be protected on the Tezos platform.
