New Low-Cost iPad Along With M2 iPad Pro To Launch In October

Scribbled Arrow

A rumour circulated earlier this month that iPadOS 16 would arrive in October, a month after iOS 16.

We speculated at the time that this could indicate Apple would not unveil new iPads during its September iPhone event but instead hold a separate launch in October.

Today's report from Korea confirms that the new low-cost iPad Pro will be available alongside the M2 iPad Pro in September.

The exact date is at the end of October. The iPad 10.2 (2021) will be the next entry-level iPad.

It is expected to be thinner than the predecessor and has "flat bezels" and a rear bump.

The next entry-level iPad will have a larger screen, a USB C port, and no headphones jack.

It will support 5G and be powered by an A14 Bionic chip.

These details have been floating around as rumours for months.

However, it seems likely that Apple will focus exclusively on iPhones (and possibly Apple Watches) at its September event.

The new tablets will get their official introduction. This is just a rumour, so don't take it too seriously.
