NASA Discovers Another Earth That May Support Life

Scribbled Arrow

Scientists discovered a Super-Earth, four times as large as our planet's mass and takes only 10.8 days to complete one year.

The super earth is located 37 light-years from us

According to the American space agency NASA, the exoplanet, called Ross 508 b (Super Earth) was found using an infrared monitoring method.

The Super-Earth "skims into and out of its star's habitable area".

It revolves around Ross 508, a red dwarf star, like the Sun orbits our Earth.

Space.com reports that the Super-Earth is close to our planet, which is ideal for atmospheric research.

This could allow researchers to determine if life might exist around low-mass stars.

Ross 508 B orbits the star every 10.8 days because it is smaller than the Sun.
