Video: Elon Musk’s Tesla Repeatedly Running Over Child Model

During a test drive conducted by a safety campaign group, a Tesla can be seen running over a child model multiple times. (Skip Few Slides To See The Video) 

This "deeply disturbing" video shows that Tesla couldn't detect the dummy in front and run over it at 25 mph on average.

The Dawn Project experimented. They claimed it was done under controlled conditions on a test track.

MailOnline reached out for comments from Elon Musk, billionaire and CEO of Tesla, but has not yet received a reply.

MailOnline reported that the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was looking into Tesla's Autopilot active driver assist system. 

The self-driving mode uses radar, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras to sense and see the surrounding environment.

The Dawn Project founder Dan O'Dowd stated that the deeply troubling results of the safety test for Tesla's full self-driving should inspire people to take action.
