One user on YouTube streamed live an older interview of Tim Cook that was seemingly intended to draw attention to a cryptocurrency scam

And when they were live streaming, thousands of viewers were watching.

If you've previously seen scams involving crypto on YouTube, you'd have noticed a few signs of what was taking place.

A fake live stream attracted attention because it was stuffed with various Apple keywords, both in the title and the description.

However, when you opened it, you saw creepy messages that pointed to a fraudulent crypto site.

YouTube did not respond immediately to a request for comments.
