Microsoft Claims Sony Pays Developers For "Blocking Rights" To Keep Games Off Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft claims that Sony paid developers to "block rights" to prevent them from adding their content to Xbox Game Pass.

These explosive claims were part of documents (Word Doc) filed with Brazil's national competition regulator.

Microsoft wants Brazil's CADE regulator to approve the proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

Xbox and PlayStation players have been analyzing documents from Brazil's CADE.

The regulator asks Sony and other Microsoft competitors about the purchase of Activision Blizzard.

Microsoft claims that Xbox Game Pass's inclusion of Activision Blizzard content will increase competition. 

Sony has not yet responded, but it is easy to see consumers choosing Game Pass over Call of Duty at $9.99 per Month.

Microsoft claims that not distributing games on other consoles is a profitable strategy, but only if games can attract large numbers of gamers to the Xbox ecosystem. 

Last year, Epic Games CEO stated that Sony was the only platform that required crossplay compensation.
