Mark Cuban Says Buying Land In The Metaverse Is 'the Dumbest Sh*t Ever'

Mark Cuban, a billionaire investor, advises not investing in digital land.

Mark Cuban talked to a YouTube channel regarding the possibility of purchasing virtual property in the metaverse.

Cuban stated, "The worst thing is that people are purchasing real estate in metaverse; this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen, Fortune first reported.

The two basic principles that make metaverse land valuable are scarcity and place.

Experts told the internet that this doesn't apply in the metaverse, as you can't artificially create scarcity. This idea is also shared by Cuban.

Cuban might not be a fan of metaverse land, but he is a vocal supporter of crypto and other Web3 technologies.

In May, he compared crypto to the early web and noted that only the best projects would survive the crypto winter.

He has also invested in Yuga Labs, which owns the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection.
