LastPass Says Hackers Stole Customers Data Backups

LastPass, the parent company of GoTo -- which was formerly LogMeIn has made some big announcement.

It has now confirmed that hackers stole the encrypted backups of its customers during an attack on its systems.

It was discovered by LastPass on November 30.

The time was when LastPass Chief Executive Karim Toubba claimed that an "unauthorized third party" could access the customer's data on a cloud service of a third party used with LastPass as well as GoTo.

The attackers used the stolen information from a previous attack on LastPass Systems in August to compromise cloud storage data shared by the companies.

GoTo acquired LastPass company in 2015. stated at the time, it was looking into the matter.
