Halo Game Founder Leaves 343 Industries

Bonnie Ross, the Halo developer 343 Industries' head, announced her resignation via Twitter today.

Ross stated that she had intended to remain with Halo until the Winter Update was released.

However, "I am letting 343 know that I will be leaving 343 to attend to a family medical matter."

Ross was previously employed by Microsoft Game Studios (now Xbox Game Studios) on projects such as Zoo Tycoon and Mass Effect.

Ross suggested the idea for an internal team to continue Halo development after Bungie purchased its independence from Microsoft.

The company she founded under Microsoft then took over the series' management following Halo Reach.

Phil Spencer, Xbox boss, took to Twitter to thank Ross for her hard work and to wish her all the best.
