Half-Life 2 VR Mod Is Live on Steam (See What's New)

Valve demonstrated what Half-Life's world could look like using a VR headset.

Some hardworking modders are now ready to share more. Half-Life 2 VR Mod is now available for free on Steam.

Tell Gordon Freeman to remove his glasses and attach a computer to your face.

The mod is compatible with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. You can play Half-Life 2 in VR from start to finish.

Although it's still a beta version, there are some bugs and issues.

However, if you have a headset, you can jump into Gordon Freeman's HEV suit to start playing with the gravity gun.

You can now literally grab that can. Will the City 17 metro cops are not impressed?

An iron stomach may be what you need. The mod supports full-room VR. However, it does not offer locomotion options that include teleportation.

This blink-like movement system is often used in VR games like Alyx to help players with motion sickness.

However, the mod's developers worked hard to minimize the negative effects of driving while in VR.

They say they have tried to reduce motion sickness by smoothing the view on those rides.
