The job losses amount to about six percent of Google's worldwide workforce, which is in stark contrast to recent reductions in the force in Microsoft (10,000 jobs, or just 5 percent), Amazon (18,000 jobs, 6 percent) along with Meta (11,000 thirteen percent).
