Ford F-150 Lightning Lineup Sees Massive Price Hikes

Scribbled Arrow

Ford Motor Company have seen an increase in the price of the F-150 Lightning electric vehicle.

Ford cites "material cost rises and other factors" as the main reason for the increase in the price.

All current order holders will be able to keep the MSRP (original manufacturer suggested retail price) they paid.

However, anyone who pays the $100 deposit by Thursday will be subject to the adjusted price.

The company also increased by 10 miles the EPA expected range of its standard range batteries, bringing it to 250 miles.

Ford intends to switch to lithium iron phosphate batteries made from China's Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) by South Korea's SK Innovation.

As an additional bonus, it will also add its Pro Trailer Hitch Assist technology. This hooks up your trailer automatically.
