Federal Student Aid Website Crashes After Biden Announces Debt Relief

President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that his administration had come up with a plan to let federal student loans be forgiven for millions of Americans.

The program provides the amount of $10,000 in federal student loan debt forgiveness

For those making less than $125,000 and $20,000 for borrowers who attended college using Pell grants.

However, shortly after Biden's announcement was made, so many Americans visited the official financial aid website, StudentAid.gov, that it seemed to go down.

Many users complained of difficulties logging in to the site, and several others complained of issues getting the site to load.

At the time of writing, several users reported that they could not access the website.
