Everything About Apple's New Lockdown Mode - A Next Level Privacy Mode For iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Apple has long positioned its iPhones, iPads, and Macs among the most secure and privacy-focused on the market.

Apple will offer a new Lockdown Mode for its iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers.

Apple added Lockdown Mode to its lineup of devices this fall. This feature is designed to combat targeted hacking attempts such as the Pegasus malware.

Oppressive governments allegedly used it against human rights workers, lawyers and journalists.

Apple announced a $10 million grant and a bug bounty of up to $2,000,000 to support further research into this emerging threat.

Repressive governments used Pegasus to spy on journalists, lawyers, politicians, and human rights activists.

These attacks only affect a few people, but the threat to others is increasing. Apple claims it has identified similar attacks against people in 150 countries within the last eight months.

Apple will soon release Lockdown Mode free of charge. The company is also committed to providing regular updates and improvements.

Apple has also increased its bug bounties and created a grant to support further research on this issue.
