Cloudflare Announces Support For Ethereum Merge And Testnets

Cloudflare, a content delivery network and DDOS security firm, has announced support for

Ethereum Merge as well as support for Sepolia/Goerli testnets via Ethereum gateways.

Cloudflare, the internet infrastructure giant, supports the Merge because it allows users and devices access to the Ethereum network.

Cloudflare's Ethereum gateway now supports the Sepolia/Goerli testnets.

The Merge testnets can be used by users to develop and test decentralized apps (DApps) and upgrade the network.

In addition, Cloudflare's testnet support will ensure that changes are implemented to the Ethereum Mainnet with no downtime, feasibility, or security.

Cloudflare announced that the Rinkeby signer was no longer needed to support Ethereum.

According to the Ethereum Foundation, Rinkeby support will cease on January 15, 2023.

The Ethereum Foundation also announced that developers and users could migrate to the Sepolia or Goerli testnets.

The Ethereum Merge testnets Kiln and Ropsten will be deprecated and shut down shortly.
