Scribbled Arrow

We are celebrating the 75th Independence Anniversary of India.

US cities have initiated programs to celebrate this occasion and highlight India-US relations and cultural diversity.

According to reports, India's 75th Independence Anniversary will be celebrated in Boston.

Thirty-two countries will take part, and an airplane with a flag of the United States will fly over the American city.

Governor of Massachusetts, Mr. Charlie Baker, announced that the 75th of India's Independence Day would be called India Day.

It will be held at India Street in Boston on August 15 and at the State House in Rhode Island on August 14.

Two-day celebrations include raising the US-India flag in Boston Harbor, the India-USA Freedom Gallery across India Street and a light-up ceremony at Rhode Island State House.

The parade will highlight the country's diversity and feature a large band of veterans and floats. As Grand Marshal, RP Singh, a former Indian cricketer, has been invited.

FIA New England celebrates India's Independence in India under the Azadi K Amrit Mahotsav banner, an Indian government initiative to mark Independence.
