Scribbled Arrow

It's pretty tiny by modern standards, but it's certainly not that small. This phone measures 146.6 x 68.2 and 9.45mm and weighs 165g.

It is just a fraction smaller than Zenfone 8. To give a comparison, the exact measurements for Samsung's Galaxy S22 are 146 x 70.6 7.6mm with 167g.

The phone will come with a 5.92" AMOLED screen (Samsung produced) with 1,080 pixels resolution (20:9) and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It will be protected with Gorilla Glass Vitus. In addition, it will be equipped with the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The camera on the front will be the Sony IMX663 12MP camera with dual PDAF.

On the back, there are two cameras. The main one has the Sony IMX766 50MP sensor (1/1.56", 1.0um pixels) equipped with "6-axis Gimbal stabilization" (machine converted, but it could be incorrect).

The camera can record 8K video. On the back, there is the ultra-wide 12MP camera that has an IMX368 sensor.

The Asus Zenfone 9 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1; naturally, this is a true small flagship. Elkjop provides three variants 8/128GB, 8/256GB, 16/256GB, and four colours.

The USB-C port can also charge a battery of 4,300mAh (300mAh higher than last year's version). In addition, as per the seller, it will include a USB-C 30W charger inside the retail box.

Fingerprint readers will be to the side (replacing the under-display reader in the original model).

The listing also contains information on the latest guaranteed OS update, which will be in August 2024 (about two years from today).

Based on Elkjop's pricing, the base Asus Zenfone 9 (8/128GB) will cost NOK 8,000 (that converts to $810 / EUR 800 / Rs 64,500).
