Mint reports that India is currently considering regulations to regulate consumer products in India, following the EU's lead.

These regulations require a universal standard charger, including USB-C, by 2024.

India's officials met earlier this week to discuss the potential impacts of a standard charging system.

We will seek to understand the concerns of Indian stakeholders and how we can adopt a standard charger.

We will also attempt to understand their concerns," India's Secretary of Consumer Affairs said to local media outlets.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, both rumoured that Apple is currently testing a USB C iPhone.

This could be the iPhone 15's debut. Kuo claims that other Apple products like the AirPods will follow.
