Apple May Launch eSim-Only iPhone 14 Model In Some Markets

With more and more carriers across the globe using the eSIM standard, we could soon see phones with no real SIM slots.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Apple's forthcoming iPhone 14 series may arrive with eSIM-only models for specific markets.

Apple isn't expected to complete the switch from a physical SIM to an eSIM for all of its phones.

However, it attempts to determine whether consumers are interested in an eSIM-only phone.

Apple has already informed some important US carriers to be prepared for its eSIM-only iPhone models that are expected to be released in the fall.

Security is another feature that benefits users, as telecoms can send information on security to millions of people at once.

The primary benefit of taking out the SIM slot from phones is that it frees small amounts of physical space within the phone, which can then be used for other parts.
