Apple iPhone 14 Supplier Facing Camera Lens Quality Issues

Scribbled Arrow

Analyst Ming-Chikuo revealed that certain suppliers of Apple's iPhone 14's RAM and panels were experiencing issues with their quality,

However, this should not affect the production because the Cupertino-based tech giant is diversifying its iPhone 14 series suppliers to prevent delays in the launch due to components shortages.

But, Kuo now reports that another Apple supplier Genius Genius is experiencing quality problems, this time due to the rear lens.

Kuo states she believes that one Genius' iPhone 14 rear lenses have suffered from coating crack quality issues.

This caused Apple to transfer around 10 million lenses to Largan to prevent iPhone 14 shipment delays since Largan's Taiwanese firm can fill the gap in supply.

The analyst says that Genius should be able to address the coating-crack issue within two months. Largan will receive more orders from Apple for the lenses if it doesn't.

iPhone 14 lineup will go for sale in the same manner as it was planned. Apple will announce its iPhone 14 series in September.

The iPhone 14 series comprises four models: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

There will not be any Mini version this time. If Apple does not face supply issues that impact production in mass quantities, iPhone 14 will be available for sale as planned.
