Apple iPhone 14 Could Be Delayed Due To Growing China-Taiwan Tension

Scribbled Arrow

You may have heard about Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and her visit to Taiwan.

It's been in the news recently. You might be wondering how this is relevant to the iPhone 14 release.

So, as many of you are aware, Apple is TSMC's top customer, and the company provides chips for Pegatron in China, where iPhones are manufactured.

And Pelosi's trip to Taiwan has placed an even greater strain on China's relationship.

The CCP has put together new regulations prohibiting the reference to "Taiwan" and "The Republic of China" in shipping documents.

This, in turn, could mean that some of the devices could be returned to Taiwan and delay iPhone 14 production as a consequence.

In addition, the Vice Chairman of Pegatron and the top executives of TSMC were spotted with Pelosi on the day of her visit,

Which suggests that this might be the beginning of a much more intense trade war between CCP and Taiwan,

Where Apple, as well as other companies based in the US, are stuck somewhere in between.

Apple is engaged with its Taiwanese partners and has requested that all labels that read "Made by Taiwan" or "Republic of China" be removed or changed.

It's not a surprise that Kuo's sources say the somne 6.1-inch iPhone 14 units will originate from Foxconn's Indian manufacturing facility.

For the first time in history, Apple is significantly diversifying its manufacturing.

The announcement comes at the worst time because it is the time when iPhone 14 is just around the corner,

And there are reports about certain quality issues in the production of the displays and lens cameras of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
