Amazon has announced Amazon Air, its dedicated air cargo fleet within India, as the e-commerce giant expands its logistical infrastructure in the crucial market outside of the United States, where it has invested more than $6.5 billion.

The retailer has signed a partnership with Bengaluru-based cargo carrier Quikjet to launch the first air freight service within the country that, according to the retailer, will help the company accelerate its delivery.

Amazon uses the Boeing 737-800 to provide the service and has said that it will initially employ Amazon Air to ship products to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
