93% Indian CEOs Plans To Cut Operating Costs

Most Indian CEOs have stated that they are cutting back or preparing to cut operational expenses.

However, they're more optimistic than their international counterparts about their nation's economic prospects, a survey of CEOs found.

"In response to the current environment, 93 per cent of India CEOs say that they are reducing or planning to reduce operating costs," the survey report said.

Each year, the Global CEO Survey released by the consultancy firm PwC discovered that most firms do not have plans to reduce their staff or pay.

The study also revealed that 41 percent of Indian respondents don't expect their business to be financially sustainable in the next 10 years if they continue to follow the current course.

The study further revealed that 78 percent of Indian CEOs think the global economy will slow in the coming 12 months.
