Microsoft Teams Premium Is Now Available As A Free 30-day Trial

Microsoft Teams Premium is now open for public preview.
Users can test AI-powered innovative features like live translations, custom branding, and advanced meeting protections.

Microsoft Teams Premium, an add-on to the Microsoft Teams conferencing service, introduces several new features that make meetings more personalized, intelligent, and secure, according to a Microsoft blog post.

You can access the preview as a free 30-day trial through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. You can try live translation into 40 languages, custom meeting templates, and advanced webinar experiences.

This preview includes features that protect sensitive information, such as labels, watermarking, and end-to-end data encryption in meetings. These meeting protections can be used to prevent users from recording and copying the meeting chat.

During the 30-day free trial, not all Teams Premium features teased in October will be available. In January, a preview trial will be available for custom branding of meetings. Intelligent recap is another feature.

A virtual assistant that is AI-based, which automatically generates chapters and highlights from meetings and shares them with others, was announced on the blog as not available for the December preview version of Microsoft Teams Premium. You can find out the availability of a feature on the Microsoft Tech Community blog.

Microsoft will also roll out new features for Teams Premium in December and January. Users can sign up for a mailing list to receive more updates. Users cannot access the Teams Premium features after the 30-day trial ends. Teams Premium will be available in general starting February 2023. It is currently estimated to cost $10 per month.
